Callao - The Peruvian Ministry of the Environment recognized SAAM Towage Peru with the "Carbon Footprint" recognition, which certifies that the company calculated its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for the period 2022.

“We arrived in Peru almost two years ago and we want our operations to have a sustainable seal. This is a first step, which allows us to have a baseline to look for alternatives that allow us to reduce our CO2 emissions and raise awareness among our collaborators”, said the country manager of SAAM Towage Chile and Peru, Cristián Cifuentes.

The company has taken concrete actions in this regard to develop a culture of environmental protection, implement and maintain an environmental management system that allows us to control and reduce the carbon footprint in our operations, and thus be aligned with the environmental policy. corporate.

The Peru Carbon Footprint is an official tool of the Peruvian State that allows recognizing how public and private organizations have managed to manage their Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions for the benefit of the environment. More than 800 companies are registered on this platform, which has the technical assistance of the United Nations Climate Promise program.
